The NANOG Mailing List

NANOG and the email list are organized by Merit Network, Inc., a non-profit Michigan organization. The list is moderated by a list-admin group of volunteers who can be reached the at the NANOG List Admins alias. The NANOG mailing list provides a lively forum for announcements and discussion of topics of interest to the network operations community.

Some topic simply do not belong on the NANOG Mailing List and are more suitable for a blog, or some other specific forum for professionals like yourself. Take a look below to see some of the topics deemed relevant and some questions we've fielded over the years which are clearly off-topic. If you are still unsure, read them again, then do not post for at least 6 months. Come back and read again, and if same result, loop back to not posting, otherwise, proceed if and when needed, sparingly of course.
