When getting a new gadget to replace the old one we are thinking about what to do with the old one. If it still works, sell it, if it doesn't, avoid environmental damage by throwing it away because it still has value and recycling companies will buy it off you.
We will examine the possible options of what to do with an iPod at the end of its useful time. We could recycle it, sell it, give it away but not throw it away, that would be a waste.
Only recently has it been easy and convenient to recycle iPod devices over the world wide web. A dozen or so dedicated mobile phone and iPod recycling sites have popped up in recent years. They provide a recycling service that pays cash for gadgets including the Apple range of gadgets and thousands of mobile phone models.
One of the great things about iPod and iPhone recycling services is how easy they are to use, anyone can use it and it takes little effort to get results. This is great for people who don't have much time but still would like to gain some of the value stored up in their old music player.
Another way of recycling would of course be the traditional methods of either selling to friends, contacts or perhaps on an auction website. Selling to friends can be good if you definitely have a buyer lined up and ready to go. Selling to contacts can be slightly more challenging because it means asking around until finding someone that wants to buy.
Auction websites like eBay give the seller the opportunity to control and set their own price. If they are an experienced seller they may make more money than average by having a better description, photos and seller rating. There are many factors in an auction that determine what the ending bid will be including: the time of day the auction ends, how many days it lasts and how many other people are bidding on the same item.
Both of these more traditional methods of selling are unreliable in comparison to recycling. You could be waiting longer than anticipated for the money to be handed over, or they may not even hand over the money and simply leave you hanging indefinitely. With an auction, if there are not enough bidders then there will not be as much competition so even the highest bidder could walk away with the item for far less than you wanted to sell it for. However this is still recycling and it would likely still be going to a good home.
You could always give it away and make someone smile. Fantastic recycling this is. If you don't quite fancy that and would like some cash to recycle iPods all you have to do is type in the model number on one of the websites and they will give you a quote for how much they will pay. You can choose either cheque, bank transfer and sometimes PayPal as the method of payment. They will give you a freepost address or envelope in which to send the iPod. Once sent in the post, they will check it out then send you your money. 福岡のリサイクルショップはリサイクルジャパン
