Talk:NANOG People
From NANOG
This needs to be fixed to be [[Category::Company]]. Sooner or later. --Marty 18:13, 10 August 2006 (GMT)
Category: Company exists now. --jzp 18:43, 10 August 2006 (GMT)
This should be removed now but only listing people by name and not affiliation seems
wrong. Typically, in issues like, for example, Network Neutrality, NANOG attendees
are generally not the decision makes, their corporations (C-level, share holders, BoD,
etc.) are and it makes sense to count by entity to demonstrate participation, etc.

Well, i guess what is someone waiting for in terms of deleting this and making sense of people and entity being somewhere reachable? Possibly About would make sense.

Not sure why 'delete'. There's plenty of folks who are unaffiliated or have multiple affiliations at a given point in time as well as those whop don't do anything NANOG except on their own time. Perhaps the Organizations shouldn't be pages but categories themselves, whose contents are people that do/did work for them? That could be pretty cool, but gets weird for the corporaate consolidation and name-changes that go on. [shrug] --jzp 12:54, 11 August 2006 (GMT)
Ok, take a look at the difference between Category:Merit and Merit, and the changes made to Betty Burke and Sue Joiner. This might work, though the text block for organizations like VeriSign or ATT or the like will get long with history. --jzp 13:16, 11 August 2006 (GMT)
