Dave O'Leary

David O'Leary is Director of Consulting Engineering at Juniper Networks, a position he has held since early 1998. Prior to Juniper, Dave worked for Cisco in the corporate Consulting Engineering group for over five years. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, he was involved in building networks at Carnegie-Mellon University, the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, and SURAnet. As the technical manager at SURAnet, he coordinated upgrades from a 56kb backbone to a DS1 and DS3 carrier-collocated backbone and provided operational and engineering support for two NSFNET nodes and for FIX-East, one of the initial Internet interconnect points.
