Colo Issues
From NANOG
Colocation is fundamental to most network operators, who both buy and sell colocation services. On the buy side, it is impossible for any single company to have a physical presence in all the cities in which they would like to be located, especially on a global scale. This leads operators to buy colocation services in various cities in order to create network presence in those cities. On the sell side, many network operators sell colocation and related services as a major part of their business model, and details of data center architecture and operation are important to them.
